It would also look fabulous on a large headboard or ottoman. The vintage Suzani has a look typical of mid twentieth century Tajik embroideries bold, flat patterns in a limited palette on black. The distinctive white border pattern is said to symbolise a snake, which was thought to protect against evil spirits. It is bordered by an intricately machine
