This is an early Japanese, made for the tourist market, boudoir tissue silk kimono. It is utterly stunningly and hauntingly beautiful. These were made to be soft and romantic and were stylized, pretty versions of the traditional kimono. Thse were hand dyed and hand screened, and the print that covers it
