The backs are blank, as produced, but these were part of a larger group of CDVs purchased together, the vast majority having Saint Paul, Minnesota imprints (most by Whitney) and the remainder having Washington, D. C. Alexander Gardner imprints, so I'm almost positive they were taken in one of those two places, most likely Minnesota. Dimensions of the vignette image are 4" x 2 3 8" possibly slightly trimmed
