1971 Pair of Mies van der Rohe for Knoll Flat Bar Brno Chairs with Bronze Finish Oddities allowing it to float inThis is a Pair of Brno Armchairs, Model 255, initially designed by Mies van der Rohe and Lily Reich in 1929. These rare bronze examples were manufactured in the United States by Knoll in 1971. The listed price includes the pair of two armchairs as shown. Their design features bent bronzed steel arms, and sports a cantilevered base. The flat bar construction was some of the first of its kind, as opposed to the tubular stylings of the Bauhaus. With its
