Ancient Roman Glass Beads Strand, 7 Beads gambia with an antique jet bellBeautiful and rare ancient Roman glass beads excavated in Mali, West Africa. These are about 2,000 years old, from the "Silk Road" trade. Oval shapes of calcified blue glass, (center bead has a yellow stripe) with small round blue glass beads in between, 5 6mm. Larger ovals have chips at the ends, which is typical for these excavated beads. Longest oval is 17mm long. 7 beads on this short strand. One of a kind!
